Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question about Fleurty's Oyster Tours? If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for below, feel free to give us a call about your upcoming booking.
What is the maximum capacity of the tour boat?
Our boat, the TunaCorn, can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. This ensures a personal and intimate tour experience for all our visitors.
Where do the tours leave from?

We will start the tour from outside the Hobart Travel Centre on the corner of Davey Street & Elizabeth Street, Hobart. The bus stop is on the Elizabeth st side where all the tour buses leave from.
Are there any onboard facilities available during the tour?
The Tuna Corn is equipped for a comfortable journey, but please note there are no toilet facilities on board. We advise guests to use facilities onshore before embarking on the tour.
Do I need any special clothing or equipment for the tour?
We recommend dressing in layers as the weather can be unpredictable. Comfortable, waterproof footwear is advisable. We provide all necessary safety equipment, including life jackets.
Can children participate in the oyster tours?
Absolutely! Our tours are family-friendly. However, for safety reasons, we advise that children participating in the tour are closely supervised by an adult at all times.
Are the tours suitable for individuals with dietary restrictions?
Our primary focus is on oysters, complemented by local wine. We recommend that individuals with dietary restrictions or seafood allergies contact us in advance to discuss their needs.
What is included in the tour?
Guests will receive a guided tour along the coastline, 12 fresh-from-the-sea oysters, wading experience, an oyster shucking demonstration and a wine tasting. All safety gear is included.
Can I cancel or reschedule my tour?
Yes — here’s how it works:
- Cancellations made 7 or more days in advance: no cancellation fee
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior: 50% cancellation fee
- Cancellations made less than 2 days prior, or no-show: 100% cancellation fee
Other Notes
Due to survey limitations the boat part of the tours can run for no longer than 2 hours. Tours disembark right on time so make sure you give yourself at least 15mins to get seated prior to leaving.
What if Fleurty’s cancels?
In rare cases (e.g. unsafe weather or operational issues), we may cancel or reschedule a tour.
You will be notified as early as possible and offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Can the tour details change?
Yes — we reserve the right to vary the itinerary, timing, or inclusions if needed for safety or operational reasons.
In force majeure or extreme circumstances (severe weather, tides, regulatory changes), we may need to cancel or adjust tours without liability, but we’ll always aim to offer alternatives or refunds.
